What is Quartz?
Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the earth's crust, it is also one of the toughest. For this reason it ranks as one of the toughest stone worktops on the market.

How does granite compare to your surfaces?
Slab granite is a completely natural product from the earth. Its undoubtedly beautiful but unfortunately it does come with faults and imperfections that, at best can harbour bacteria and at worst crack or chip. As Quartz is an engineered stone, there are non of these faults or imperfections found within slab granite. Quartz also has immense flexural strength. This leads to a stronger, easier to maintain, more robust worktop while maintaining the natural beauty of a stone worktop.
Can I put hot pans on my new worktops?
Although Quartz can withstand very high temperatures, we advise against putting hot pans directly onto it. Best practice is the use of chopping boards and trivets.
How easily can quartz be scratched?
Quartz is inherently tough and you won’t scratch it through daily use. As with hot pans, best practice is the use of chopping boards for food preparation. Chopping on your worktops will simply dull your knives very quickly!
What sort of warranty will I get?
Every install comes with a manufacturer backed standard 10 year warranty.
Are your worktops suitable for any existing kitchen worktop to be covered?
Pretty much, although your existing surfaces will need to be solid and secure. In terms of weight, as it’s only 8mm thick it’s around 17kg per m2 so will never be an issue due to additional weight.
Do they stain?
You’d be very unlucky to stain your Quartz worktop. Unlike granite, Quartz is non porous meaning any spillages will simply pool on the surface until wiped off.
Is there any maintenance?
No! Comparing again to the likes or granite which does require regular sealing, quartz is non porous. An engineered stone designed for use in kitchens and requires zero maintenance other than cleaning!
What do you clean the worktops with?
Cleaning your new worktops couldn’t be easier. We’ll go through all of this at the end of the install and will supply you with a couple of the correct cloths to get you started.
How long does it take to fit?
Unless you have a very big kitchen, we will fit them within a day. Average sized kitchens take between 3 and 6 hours to fit.
How much does it cost?
Obviously this depends on the area of the worktops to be fitted. We are however confident that our material and level of skill represents the best possible value and aren’t usually beaten on price.
Do you sell sinks and other appliances?
We do. If you’re buying a worktop from us you can choose from a vast range of sinks, taps and other kitchen appliances all at up to 50% off the RRP.
Do you do commercial work?
Our surfaces are ideal for commercial work due to the logistical barriers we can avoid as opposed to using slab granite or marble. Please contact us for further information.
